The US music star has been found guilty of assaulting a 19-year-old man after an incident in Stockholm in June
ASAP Rocky has been found guilty of assault in Sweden.
The verdict was handed down today at Stockholm District Court, local media reports.
The music star, whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers, and his two friends, who were also found guilty of assault, were handed conditional sentences.
That means that will not have to return to Sweden to serve any time in jail.
The US star and two of his entourage pleaded not guilty to assaulting a 19-year-old man in Stockholm.
ASAP was detained in the country but had the support of US President Donald Trump and a number of other big-name stars.
The 30-year-old recently spoke about his arrest at the Real Street Festival in Anaheim.
“I just want to say, what I experienced it’s crazy. I’m so happy to be here y’all don’t even understand,” he shouted to the crowd.
“Y’all know how happy I am to be here right now,” Rocky added. “While I was away — hold the mosh pits a minute… this is a sentimental moment!
“That was a scary and humbling experience but god is good.
“People that I don’t even f**king know was reaching out. Hip hop never felt so good man.”
Rocky, appearing with pal Tyler the Creator, added: “This my first performance since I been out.
“When I was locked up we used to play the radio and I heard my brother ASAP Ferg’s song all the way in Sweden. I want to hear that song.”
The American says he, Bladimir Corniel and David Rispers were acting in self-defence after a fight that broke out on June 30.
Rocky’s defence lawyer Slobodan Jovicic said the incident was not a pre-meditated group assault but prosecutor Daniel Suneson told the Stockholm District Court the star should be jailed for about six months.
