Actress Cressida Bonas, who dated Prince Harry for two years from 2012-2014, says she respects his wife Meghan Markle and finds it odd to still be asked about her ex
Actress Cressida Bonas, who is currently starring in ITV’s White House Farm, has opened up on still being asked about her ex Prince Harry – six years after they ended their relationship.
The star, 30, who was introduced to Harry, 35, in 2012 and went onto date him until 2014, says she refuses to judge Meghan Markle , 38, out of “respect” but admits she understands fans will always be fascinated by her romance with Princess Diana’s youngest son.
Explaining why she remains tight-lipped about the couple, whose wedding she attended in May 2018 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, the model told ES magazine: “I wouldn’t take a position on that because it would be a headline. I want to talk about my work.
“And also out of respect. What’s the expression? How would I feel if the shoe was on the other foot and it was an ex talking about me?”
Cressida, who is engaged to Harry Wentworth-Stanley, reflected: “It feels like a long time ago, so when it comes up it feels strange because I’m in a very different place now – I’m getting married, I’ve learned a lot. I’m much more comfortable in my own skin. I’m growing.”
Harry and Cressida reportedly began dating in 2012, although the couple’s romance hit the rocks when the royal was pictured naked with a group of women in Las Vegas.
The prince reportedly regularly wrote to Cressida while serving in Afghanistan in late 2012, with the pair getting back together in 2013.
After attending several royal functions together, the pair reportedly split up in 2014 although they remained friendly.
The couple previously dated before the actress started her relationship with Prince Harry.Cressida announced she was engaged to Wentworth-Stanley with a sweet selfie posted onto Instagram in August last year.
