It has just been reported Argentinian footballer, Emiliano Sala, was on board a plane that went missing over the English Channel last night.
This is coming a few days after Sala was announced as a new signing for Premier League club Cardiff City.
Onn Saturday, Sala signed a three-and-a-half year deal with Premier League club Cardiff City, for a club record fee believed to be around £10million.
The 28-year-old striker was on the light aircraft that disappeared from its radar on Monday night, while apparently flying from Nantes to Cardiff.
Emergency services spent Monday night searching for the missing aircraft, with the search continuing this morning.
A tweet from Guernsey Police on Tuesday morning reads: “Searching for the light aircraft PA 46 Malibu resumed at 8am this morning.
“No trace has currently been found.
“It was en route from Nantes, France to Cardiff, Wales with 2 people.
“More info when available.”
