West Ham’s Manuel Pellegrini and he has confirmed that striker Marko Arnautovic will be out for a month after he injured his hamstring in the 3-1 win against Cardiff on Tuesday.

It means Arnautovic will miss the entire Christmas period, although he could be available for the FA Cup third round tie against Birmingham.

After back-to-back wins, Pellegrini admits he is happy at the way his team is playing.”I think we are improving as a team. We are doing things better,” he said. “We cannot stop in this moment though. “We are improving, and I’ve always said, we are trying to change the style of play. We didn’t change because we lost some games. We will keep trying to improve.”

the Hammers will also be minus Jack Wilshere (ankle) when they host Crystal Palace on Saturday. “Wilshere is not 100% comfortable so he won’t be available, but I think it will just be for this game,” said Pellegrini. “We have a squad and now is the time for other players to take their chance.”
