Former Manchester City and Manchester United midfielder, Owen Hargreaves has praised Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri for featuring two Chelsea players, N’Golo Kante and David Luiz, in his side’s 2-0 win over Manchester City in the Premier League encounter played at the weekend.
Goals from N’Golo Kante and David Luiz helped Sarri’s side to hand Pep Guardiola’s men their first defeat in the Premier League this season.
“I thought City at the start of the game were by far the better team, and if they had taken their chances they could have been out of sight,” Hargreaves told BT Sport.
“But really for Maurizio Sarri, that is a feather in his cap in terms of playing N’Golo Kante in that position and David Luiz coming back after having a nightmare, so for Sarri, his football won.
“It was a big result for them.”
Chelsea currently sit on the fourth position on the Premier League table with 34 points from 16 games.
Sarri’s men will now tackle Vidi in the Europa League in their next fixture to be played on Thursday.
