Nigerian Team Parades At The Opening Ceremony Wearing Aso-Ebi

The Nigerian team represented to the fullest at the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in traditional wear

Nigeria participated at the opening ceremony of the 2018 winter Olympics on February 9th and the team represented to the fullest at the ceremony wearing traditional aso-ebi.

This will be the first time that Nigeria will be participating in the winter Olympics as Seun Adigun, Akuoma Omeoga and Ngozi Onwumere compete in Bobsleigh.

Seun Adigun is the driver of the Bobsleigh team and also currently a chiropractic student studying for a dual degree of a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College and a Master’s of Science in Exercise & Health Science University of Houston Clear Lake.

Akuoma Omeoga is one of the brakeman for the Nigerian Women’s Bobsled Team and also works as a healthcare recruiter.

Ngozi Onwumere on the other hand is one of the brakeman of the team. She competed for Nigeria in the 2015 All African games in Track & Field.

They were joined by Simi Adeagbo who qualified to fly Nigeria’s flag in the game of Skeleton after she got inspired by Seun, Akuoma and Ngozi’s story.

With the help of Visa, the ladies have set a record and are now gunning for something bigger, to win a medal at the winter Olympics.
