Ahmed Ololade Asake (born 13 January 1995), known professionally as Asake, is a Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter. Asake was born and raised in Lagos Metropolis, Nigeria by parents who hail from the Yoruba tribe in the western region of the country. He is a Nigerian by nationality with Islamic background.
Asake started performing at a tender age and released several freestyles online which made him gain popularity among his audience, who enjoyed listening to his songs until he gained more visibility with the help of some Nigerian Influencers like Tunde Ednut, Broda Shaggi, Sydney Talker, and a lot more who have been helping him to gain more exposure.
He is signed to YBNL Nation. Asake studied Theatre & Performing Arts at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun state. Although he had been releasing music since 2018, his musical career progressed further in 2020 when he released the single “Mr. Money”.
