Tatyana Pronina swapped her urine sample with her young daughter’s so the operation would go ahead
A woman who desperately wanted a boob job, despite having a high risk medical condition, died after lying to surgeons.
The 31 year old from Moscow, was desperate to fix her “wonky” breasts, say her family.
A year ago the mother-of-two was refused surgery to make her chest “perfect” because her urine test showed she had chronic kidney disease.
She said she was “suffering emotionally” because her breasts “did not look perfect”.
When she returned last month, she provided a urine sample that unknown to medics was in fact her 10-year-old daughter’s, admitted her widower Evgeny Pronin.
She was allowed to proceed with the surgery to correct her “asymmetric” breasts following the birth of her second child three years ago, said Semeynaya clinic in Moscow.
The operation went well but as she came round afterwards she suddenly stopped breathing when talking to the doctor.
She was rushed to hospital in a “grave condition” and was diagnosed with a cerebral edema.
As medics struggled to find the cause, her husband admitted to doctors that she had hidden her kidney disease by swapping the urine sample, the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper reported.
She is believed to have suffered sudden spasm of brain blood vessels provoked by her kidney problems.
Tatyana suffered from rare Lance-Adams Syndrome, say reports.
She died this week, one month after the breast surgery.
Clinic chief Konstantin Simkin said: “According to her spouse, there was a substitution of tests.
“She brought a ready-made sample to the hospital, and, as it turned out later, the urine had been replaced.”Her husband said that his late wife had suffered no problems with her kidneys since childhood.
“For many years she had not turned to any hospital with problems.”
A criminal investigation is underway into the circumstances of her death.
