Inter Milan are ready to make a final attempt for Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric over the next 48 hours.
Inter have been pursuing a deal for the Croatia international for much of the summer, with coach Luciano Spalletti confirming their interest.
Modric wants to see the move happen, says Sky Italia, and his prime agents will be in Madrid today and tomorrow attempting to convince Real president Florentino Perez to allow the midfielder to leave.
Inter are offering to take Modric on a high-priced season-long loan with the obligatory option to buy him outright.
Italy’s summer transfer window closes on Friday.
