A 92-year-old, Moses Oladejo Oyediran, from Ajombadi Compound in Modakeke, Osun State, has been installed as new Ogunsua of Modakeke.
Oyediran was adorned with Akoko leaves to symobolise his new status at a brief ceremony held Thursday evening at Palace Square, Ita Merin, Modakeke. He was later led into the palace by the Chiefs.
Immediate past Ogunsua, Oba Francis Adedoyin, from Olaogbin Ruling House joined his ancestors on August 4, 2018, at an advanced age of 96 years.
Oyediran, who was Balogun of Modakeke until his installation as Ogunsua, it was learnt, emerged new Ogunsua in adherence to the Chieftaincy law of the town, which says, whoever is the Balogun will succeed the monarch.
It was also learnt, if Balogun is too old or has a serious sickness, the Otun Balogun will be picked as Ogunsua.
