Manchester United accidentally confirmed the appointment of Ole Solskjaer as interim manager to replace sacked Jose Mourinho.
In a quickly-deleted post on the club’s website, United confirmed the Norwegian’s appointment as caretaker boss.
“Solskjaer becomes our interim manager, 20 years after clinching the Treble with THAT goal at Camp Nou,” the caption read.
It appears to confirm the poorly kept secret that the 45-year-old will become caretaker manager at his former club. That coupled with a now-deleted tweet from Norway’s Prime Minister Erna Solberg dispel any doubt that the former striker will take charge.
The 45-year-old signed a new three-year deal at Norwegian club Molde at the start of December, extending his second spell at a club he rejoined after an ill-fated spell at the helm of Saturday’s opponents Cardiff.
Molde’s season ended last month and does not resume until March 31.
Lol…
He’s won a game already,its now you’re announcing it.
