Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher is back as a football pundit on Danish television after the now infamous spitting incident.

Carragher spat at a Manchester United supporter Andy Hughes and his 14-year-old daughteras they were both leaving Old Trafford after Liverpool’s 2-0 loss in a Premier League game.

The Liverpool legend was caught on camera spitting at the United fan who had taunted him with the Reds’ defeat.

When the video was made public, Carragher was suspended from his role as a pundit at Sky Sports and also fined.

He however, made a surprise return to television in Denmark.

The 40-year-old was on punditry duties on Danish Television TV3 Sport during the Champions League clash between Juventus and Real Madrid on Tuesday, April 3.

Peter Norrelund who is the chief executive of MTG network in Scandinavia stated that Carragher was given a role at the station because he showed that he is sorry about the incident.

He said, “There must be no doubt that he deeply regrets the episode and is shocked at his own behavior.”

“Jamie apologises to the family in question, as he is also in dialogue with, as they are now also in a bad situation, among other things, being harassed on social media.”

Despite his appearance on Danish television, Carragher is still without pay from his reported £1million Sky Sports job.
