Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher was impressed by Virgil van Dijk for their 0-0 draw at Everton.
He believes the Holland international should be an obvious choice for individual awards at the end of the season.
“Van Dijk is well in the running, if not a shoo-in for Player of the Year,” he said.
“He looks like a man playing in a kid’s game. It feels like there are more gears to go into.
“If Liverpool is going to win this league, it’s having Van Dijk and having the best defensive record in the Premier League.”
