Movie director and producer, Kunle Afolayan has distanced himself from a viral video which shows his brother Aremu Afolayan calling out Nigerian leaders over an encounter he had at the Lagos airport.
In the video, Aremu Afolayan could be heard slamming “those useless bastard immigration” for asking him to pay a bribe before his family could enter into the airport.
After the video went viral, Kunle Afolayan received many mentions on social media from people who mistook him for his brother who appeared in the video.
Issuing a disclaimer, Kunle said:
Good morning all,
I have been receiving a lot of calls and comments from people who are mistaken me for Aremu Afolayan in regards to this video.
I would like to officially state that this is not Kunle Afolayan, he is my brother not me.
There is frustration in the land but hey!
