Police have announced Empire actor Jussie Smollett as officially a suspect for filing a false police report regarding the alleged attack he claimed to have suffered in Chicago.
This was after the two Nigerian brothers he hired to allegedly staged the attack gave evidence that gave the case a new twist.
The two Nigerian brothers, Ola and Abel Osundairo were to appear before a jury yesterday but was stalled when Jussie Smollett and his lawyer agreed to discuss with Police.
Jussie Smollet is also likely to appear before a jury.
Meanwhile, his role in the series Empire will now be slashed so as to allow him time to settle the case.
