Presidential candidate, Dr Oby Ezekwesili, has dismissed speculations that she’s contesting in the 2019 presidential election to make a statement, boasting instead that she’s in the competition to win it.
While speaking during an interview with Pulse on Thursday, October 11, 2018, the former Minister of Education said she’s committed towards taking down the current political class.
“I believe I have enough mental resilience to be able to lead this citizen’s movement, to reposition and somehow reorder the relationship between those who lead and those that they lead. It is about citizen’s first,” she said.
Ezekwesili will contest on the platform of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) against President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at next year’s poll.
