The Super Eagles have intensified their preparations for the World Cup with Odion Ighalo and Simeon Nwankwo the focus of fans in Uyo on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Israel-based midfielder John Ogu and Mikel Obi have joined the camp, according to ScoreNigeria.
Kelechi Iheanacho, Ahmed Musa, Uche Agbo, goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Oghenekaro Etebo showed fine form.
Meanwhile, Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has recovered “faster than expected” from a hamstring injury and will soon join Nigeria’s full World Cup training, an official said on Thursday, AFPreports.
Ndidi has been training on his own in Uyo, where the squad have their training camp, since the World Cup camp opened officially on Tuesday.
Super Eagles spokesman Toyin Ibitoye said Ndidi’s recovery has been ahead of schedule and he will soon join the squad’s full training.
“In a couple of days, he will join the full training,” Ibitoye disclosed.
