Rosalia Vila Tobella (born 25 September 1992), known as Rosalía is a Spanish singer and songwriter. Born and raised in the outskirts of Barcelona. She has been described as an “atypical pop star” due to her genre-bending musical styles. After being enthralled by Spanish folk music at age 13 even though born in a family with no artistic background, she studied musicology at Catalonia College of Music while also performing at musical bars and weddings.
Four – Malamente
Released on the 30th of May, 2018, Malamente is Rosalia’s first successful single, and the one that started the media buzz around the singer. The official video garnered over 161M views on YouTube. The song was nominated for five Latin Grammy Awards, out of it won two, for Best Alternative Song and for Best Urban Fusion/Performance. It was produced by El Guincho & Rosalia. Beso” (transl. ”Kiss”) is a song written and recorded by Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía and Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Rauw Alejandro for their collaborative extended play, RR (2023). The song’s production was handled by Dylan Patrice, Alejandro, Rosalía, and Noah Goldstein. It was released by Sony Music on March 24, 2023, as the lead single from the EP. It has garnered over 36M views on its official music video on YouTube. The song was commercially successful, reaching number one in Spain, as well as the top five in several other countries such as Chile and Switzerland, and on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs in the United States.
