Production on the set of Netflix TV drama House of Cards has been shut down in Maryland after three people were shot dead at a nearby business park. Producer Dana Brunetti confirmed that filming near Baltimore had been suspended, while attacking America’s national media for not picking up the shooting story.

A spokesman for the Harford County Sheriff’s Office claims the suspect remains at large and that the FBI is involved in the manhunt. Two people are also being treated for gunshot wounds. The area is on lockdown after the shooting at Emmorton Business Park in Edgewood, which took place just before 9am local time on Wednesday (18Oct17), according to Deadline.com. Production on Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright’s House of Cards, which was filming nearby, was halted as a precaution.

“We have lost three lives so far this morning in Harford County,” Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler said at a press conference. “There’s an individual out there on the loose who committed one of the most heinous acts we’ve ever seen in our county… We consider him armed and dangerous.” Reports suggest the shooting incident was a targeted attack of Advance Granite Solutions staff. The shooter had been employed by the company for four months.
