Floyd Mayweather has outdone himself, this time allegedly spending $18 million on a diamond encrusted wristwatch.
The timepiece marketed as “The Billionaire Watch” holds the Jacob & Co brand tag, and the finishing skills of renown jeweler Tadashi Fukushima.
Floyd Mayweather is reportedly so smitten with his work, that he has pledged to never do business with any other jeweler other than him.
Mayweather posted an up close video of his purchase on Instagram. The watch looks to have been commissioned alongside a custom case with diamond embroidery spelling out his promotion “TMT.”
The watch was initially buzzing after Jacob & Co first presented it to the luxury market as the definitive watch that “truly epitomizes the brand’s passion for breaking boundaries.”
“The Billionaire Watch” comes replete with 239 emerald-cut baguette diamond stones, each weighing up to 3 carats. Jacob & Co didn’t simply stop their boastful talk upon presenting their tag line.
The manufacturer also jazzed up their product placement with a description of how the rainbow reflectors are dispersed upon contact with light: “As the tourbillon caliber brings dynamism to its bejeweled enclosure, or the ballet of light of 260 carats of diamonds illuminates its exquisitely revealed heartbeat.”
