The first luxury hotel in space has been announced and it will be ready to receive guests in four years time; 2022 precisely.
Aurora Station is the name of the space luxury hotel promising guests, literally out-of-this-world experience. It is being built by Texas-based Orion Span which has a team with over 140 years of human space exploration experience with NASA.
The luxury hotel will be manned by two crew members and will only be able to accommodate six guests for a period of 12 days.
Already deposits for the 12-day stay is being collected and it is a total of $9.5 million (#3.4bn) for each guest.
However, guests will not be able to stay there as you would at a regular hotel, as they will need to go through three months of intensive training first.
The race to open up space to commercial activities have been heating up in recent times with Virgin Group owner, Richard Branson, looking into commercial space travel, while billionaire, Elon Musk, wants to send a car into space.
