It’s about time we started recognizing some popular and awesome Kpop solo artiste & groups, such that will change your music taste for the better. One of such group we’re gonna be talking about today is called Twice which is a 9 member South Korean girl group that are competing with big names. The group members are: Nayeon (Lead Vocalist), Jeongyeon, Momo (Main Dancer, Vocalist & Rapper), Sana (Vocalist & Lead Dancer), Park Ji Soo – Jihyo (Leader & Main Vocalist), Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung (Main Rapper, Vocalist) and Tzuyu (Maknae, Vocalist & Face of the Group).
Twice was formed by JYP Entertainment through the 2015 reality show Sixteen. JYP Entertainment Corporation is a South Korean entertainment company established by singer and record producer Park Jin-young in 1997. It is currently one of the largest entertainment companies in South Korea.
The group’s genre is K-pop & K-pop (abbreviation of the term Korean pop) is a music genre originating in South Korea and is characterized by a wide variety of audiovisual elements. It includes all genres of “popular music” within South Korea. It is also used to describe a modern form of South Korean pop music drawing inspiration from a range of styles and genres incorporated from the West such as Western pop music, rock, jazz, gospel, Latin, hip hop, R&B, reggae, electronic dance, folk, country and classical on top of its uniquely traditional Korean music roots.
The style is characterized by Audiovisual content – Systematic training of artists – Hybrid genre and transnational values – Marketing – Use of English phrases – Choreography – Fashion & Government support.
The girl group debuted on October 20, 2015 with the extended play (EP) titled The Story Begins.

Despite a somewhat slow start when they first debuted in October 2015, the girls have been winning hearts with their cute choreographies, style and catching up-beat music.
It is interesting to know that all MVs by the girl band has exceeded 100 million views, which now means all of their music videos have made it past that benchmark!
The single “TT” is named after the emoticon used to represent a stream of tears, but the girl group have nothing to cry about with this song.
“TT” is the lead single off the quickly rising outfit’s TWICEcoaster: Lane1 EP with the group’s comeback sending TWICE to new heights on multiple Billboard charts.

With TWICE’s popularity continuing to grow at a super-fast rate around the world, it will be interesting to see how far they go in coming years.
The group has racked up numerous awards in their two years of existence. 22 Awards won, 48n Nominations in total. Adding up music program awards they’ve trapped a total of 45 Awards.
NUMBER 2: LIke Ooh-Ahh – Off the album “The Story Begins”
The band rose to fame in 2016 with their song “Cheer Up” which charted number 1 on Gaon Digital Chart and became the best-performing single that year. It also won Song of the Year in two major music award shows, Melon Music Awards and Mnet Asian Music Awards.
