Bus conveying church members back from Deeper Life Camp catches fire at Ojota Lagos. The incident happened on 25th December 2017. According to witness report, The bus was coming from Ogun state. Recounting her ordeal, one of the church members identified only as Faith, said they noticed some abnormalities with the bus right from Ogun state, the bus which carried majorly the church youths returning from camp. They complained to the driver that something was amiss, that he should go down and check what the problem was.
Getting down, the driver noticed the engine was overheating and without proper check, he continued the journey leaving the burnet open. The problem still ensured and the driver ignored all the signs and still drove on.
Getting to Ojota Lagos, she said people started screaming fire!!! Then the bus went into a frenzy, smoke everywhere, people started jumping out of the bus through the window, door and panic everywhere. Right in the middle of the road, the bus went up in flames. Thankfully, everyone had gotten out. No live was lost, although properties ranging from phones to clothes were all consumed by the fire.
