Cardi B returns to Instagram, announces new song with Bruno Mars

Rapper Cardi B has returned to Instagram barely 48 hours after she quitting the social media platform and has announced a new song with Bruno Mars.

The rapper deactivated her account following heavy backlash she received when she emerged the first woman to win the award for Best Rap Album which she did at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

According to many on social media, she didn’t deserve the award and perhaps was given the award to spite Nicki Minaj who confessed to have pissed off one of the Grammy Awards producers.

Reacting to the criticisms, Cardi B stated that their opinion is wrong because she worked really hard and non-stop for three months to put her album in place, and so she’s deserving of the award. After airing her thoughts on Instagram, she immediately deleted her account.

The deactivated account didn’t take too long before it got reactivated with a post showing Cardi B announcing that she has a new song dropping soon which features Bruno Mars.

She wrote:

“Ok so I’m back from retirement to announce I have a brand new song coming out Friday at midnight with Bruno Mars.”
