Many often use the saying ‘being a man is not easy’, how true! There are numerous criteria and things involved in measuring who is a man and who is not because when push comes to shove, there is a man and there are other men. Those who have been confirmed to be men will tell you that being a man In today’s world has moved past just possessing the male genitals and a baritone voice, if you are still there as described, then you are probably a child in a grown man’s body.
Now, what I am majorly concerned with as it is, is this particular question: Does being “broke” make you any less a man?
Though being broke sucks like hell, it never makes you less a man; it only says two things about you: Either you are spending your means or close to your limit and you just spend without planning. But after a certain period of time, money is still sure to come in. The term ‘broke’ can often be confused with ‘poor’, so what is the difference?
To me, being poor means there’s no money to begin with while being broke means there was some money and it is no longer there. They both completely suck anyways. No matter how much money you make if you don’t manage it well it doesn’t really matter how much you have to begin with. You’ll go back to being poor or go back to being broke if the habits and thoughts associated with the money doesn’t grow and morph too.
Are those that are born poor and raised poor destined to continue to be poor? Are those that are born into a broke family and raised broke destined to remain broke?
Everyone has the ability to become rich, but young people have a larger chance to do so owing to the fact that they have so much time in the world to convert into useful resources and create wealth. They say we are all not born equally, and all fingers are not equal no doubt, but one thing must be brought to mind, and that is the fact that everyone in the world has the same amount of time [24 hours] to utilize each day. Now, the difference between the rich and the poor is who uses their time smartly the most, although one might argue the case where some are born with a silver spoon. According to George Gissing, “Time is money says the proverb, but turn it around and you get a precious truth. Money is time”.
There are new habits you need to inculcate in other to leave the ‘broke’ arena;
Building a strong mental stability: Mental Stability: Mental stability is the most important thing to do anything in your life. If you want to achieve anything or if you are stuck somewhere, the one thing which will help you to face that is your mental stability. If you are mentally strong you will never have to take a back step because of being broke.
Set financial goals: If you want something, the first step is to know what your final destination is. When you will be aware of your goals nothing will stop you from going and getting them. If you ever face the situation where you are broke, just keep in mind your goals and they will give you a push to achieve them.
Save more, spend less and never showoff: Have you ever thought or tried to keep a check on the list of things on which you spend your money? If you want to keep yourself away from being broke start keeping a check on where you are spending your hard earned money and stop spending on the things which are useless. Never show off anything. If you are bestowed with something or if you have earned something, never try to show off, just keep your mind on the right track and keep on working hard. Showing off often takes away the attention of the right things. When you will stop trying to impress others you will never be broken. Savings can be helpful in every situation. No matter at what time in your life but savings do help you a lot to get out of the hard situation. If you are broken, savings can serve as an amazing way out.
If money does not bring happiness, try being broke.
