Ambode Picks New HoS, Appoints Adekunle Gold’s Father, Others PS

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, on Sunday confirmed the appointment of Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola as the new Head of Service in the state.

He also appointed six new Permanent Secretaries, including Adekunle Gold’s father, Adeyemi Kosoko.

Ambode’s Chief Press Secretary, Habib Aruna, said in a statement on Sunday that the governor appointed Muri-Okunola to replace Mrs Folasade Adesoye, who retired on December 27, 2018, after 35 years of public service.

Until his new appointment, Muri-Okunola was the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth and Social Development.

He had previously served as the Executive Secretary, Land Use and Allocation Committee between 2005 and 2011.

Ambode, according to the statement, thanked the outgoing HoS, Adesoye “for her meritorious service to the state and wished her well in her future endeavours.”

Other newly-appointed Permanent Secretaries were identified as  Dr Goncalves Fausat, Dr Balogun Bolajoko, Mr Adeniji Olufemi, Mrs Adelaja Omobolanle and Dr Lawal Temidayo.

“The new Head of Service and the Permanent Secretaries would be sworn in on Monday, December 31, 2018 (today) at the Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja,” the statement added.
