The match between Senegal and Tunisia was characterised by drama and as two teams jostled for a place in the finals.
The match was forced into extra time after finishing 0-0 in regulation time, with both sides failing to find the back of the net despite having glorious goalscoring chances including two penalties awarded to either team. However, a Tunisia penalty reversed by the VAR was the highlight of the match as players were caught on camera squaring it out towards the end of the tie.

Media reports now indicate Khazri, who is the Carthage Eagles’ assistant captain went straight to Senegal’s technical area at full time and punched Cissé, a former Senegal international and current team head coach. It remains unclear what provoked the Saint-Étienne man who is now staring at a possible lengthy ban from the game.
Earlier, reported that the first 2019 Africa Cup of Nations semi-final clash between Senegal and Tunisia was forced into extra time after neither side finding the back of the net after regulation time. Dylan Bronn’s extra-time own goal was however the difference, as Senegal strolled into the competitions finals for the first time in 17 years.
