Everyday we talk about human rights, women rights and children’s right. All these are to protect the victims. How appalling is it to know that the child offences we keep fighting about and against could be committed by a child to another child.
A little girl of four years old was brought to my pharmacy that i was by her mother saying that her little girl keeps complaining of pain in her genital whenever she is been bathed. When asked what happened to her, she said that another girls that lives in the same compound as she has been tampering with her v***** ( keep in mind that the person that did this to her is about eight years old).
This other little girl has been doing this to her whenever she noticed her parents were away, but the previous day she had forced her fingers into her her private part and after medical diagnosis, it was discovered that her hymen has been broken ( at only four). Her mother kept pressing to find out more and she confessed that another four years old boy in her class who has been trying to finger her. She has been given medical attention and her mother is going to get the eight years old girl who started all these and also visit the school to find the little boy.
Now the question is , in a case where these rights we are fighting for to keep adult predators away from children turns out to be a child predator on another naive little girl, who then is to blame?? is it the eight years old family system or the school system or the society? because we all know our children learn faster from what they see. or is it the four years 0ld victim whose parents go in search of daily bread and thinks she is in the company of other kids or at school to learn and is safe?
