SPANISH POP SINGER/ACTRESS ‘AITANA’ TOPS OUR AOTW

Aitana Ocaña Morales known mononymously as Aitana, is a Spanish pop singer and actress, she was born on June 27, 1999 in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. She is the only child of her parents Cosme Ocaña and Belén Morales.  As a child, Aitana grew up in Viladecans, a municipality in the Barcelona province, and when she was nine, her family moved to Sant Climent de Llobregat. Music was always there for her. Around 2014, she started uploading cover versions of popular songs on YouTube, and that same year released her first original songs.  She finished her bachillerato (Spanish high school diploma) in 2017, after which she planned to study design at university. But life had other plans: she auditioned for Operación Triunfo (season 9) in Madrid and was selected. After her success in Operación Triunfo (she came in as runner-up in 2017) , things moved fast. In October 2018, she made a big move: she left Sant Climent de Llobregat and moved to Madrid to live alone, in an apartment in the Fuente del Berro district that belonged to actress Blanca Suárez. Aitana’s love life has often been in the public eye. She ended a childhood relationship with Vicente Rodríguez in 2018. After that, she was romantically linked with Luis Cepeda, a fellow contestant from Operación Triunfo, which caused some buzz because of their age difference (Aitana was about 18; he was about 28). They broke up later that same year. As of May 2025, reports say she’s dating a YouTuber called Plex. She splits her time between Madrid and Miami and owns multiple properties in Spain.
