Sabrina Carpenter is giving fans a “Taste” of her new ‘Short N’ Sweet‘ album with Jenna Ortega-(Miss Wednesday) starring in the music video. In “Taste,” the singer gives a warning to her ex-lover’s new girl, and predicts all the moves he’s pulling on his rebound, since she witnessed them firsthand. Now for the juicy part, Fans have speculated that the on-and-off relationship Carpenter refers to in the song might be her rumored fling with Shawn Mendes in February 2023. “Taste” was released through Island Records on August 23, 2024, as the third single from the album. Carpenter wrote it with songwriters Julia Michaels and Amy Allen and its producers John Ryan and Ian Kirkpatrick, with Julian Bunetta also contributing to production.
