Charlotte Emma Aitchison was born in Cambridge on 2 August 1992, the only child of nurse and flight attendant Shameera and entrepreneur and show booker Jon Aitchison. She grew up in Start Hill, Essex, and attended Bishop Stortford College in nearby Bishop Stortford. She demonstrated an affinity for music from an early age, being interested in acts such as the Spice Girls and Britney Spears, and began writing songs at the age of 14. she began posting songs on Myspace in 2008, which led to her discovery
by a promoter who invited her to perform at warehouse raves. In 2010, she signed a recording contract with Asylum Records, releasing a series of singles and mixtapes throughout 2011 and 2012. In addition to her solo work, Charli XCX has co-written songs for other artists, including Iggy Azalea Beg for It (2014), Selena Gomez Same Old Love (2015), Blondie Tonight(2017), the Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello collaboration Señorita (2019), and the Sigala and Rita Ora collaboration You for Me
(2021). She was awarded the ASCAP Global Impact Award in 2024 in recognition of her contributions to pop music.

Four: Baby
Released on the 1st of March 2022 is this song titled Baby by Charli XCX and it has garnered over 3.8M views on its official music video on YouTube. It was released as the fourth single from her fifth studio album Crash (2022). It has received positive reviews for its catchiness and sultry production.

  • At the age of 18, Charli moved to London to study for a fine art degree at UCL Slade School of Fine Art but dropped out in her second year.

Serving as her most recent release, Guess is a song by British singer Charli XCX and American singer Billie Eilish released on 1 August 2024. It is a remix of XCX earlier track of the same name, which had been released on 10 June 2024. It has garnered over 53M streams on spotify.

  • In 2012, one of XCX song was nominated for Top Dance/Electronic Song at the Billboard Music Awards.
  • In 2014,she achieved commercial success with Fancy, a collaboration with Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, the song received several awards and nominations worldwide including two nominations for the Grammy Awards, Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, won the Billboard Music Award for Top Rap Song and got four nominations at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards including Video of the Year and Best Pop Video.
  • Also, in 2014, she released Boom Clap, a song for the 2014 romance film The Fault in Our Stars, the track became her first solo top-ten single on the Billboard Hot 100, received a nomination for the MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist and was one of the ten music videos shortlisted for the Brit Award for British Video of the Year, though it was not one of the five nominees. Her breakthrough during the year resulted in nominations for Best New Art and Best Push Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
