The governor of Rivers State Governor Wike today placed the entire Obiakpor and Portharcourt City LGA on lockdown starting 7th May till further notice. He also ordered a confiscation of any hotel that violates the lockdown rules offering a payment of N100,000 to any whistle blower who provides such relevant information.
There's no diff from when the military were announcing decrees and this. Yet we are in democracy. Even before the draconian "Infectious disease bill" is passed by NASS, Governor Wike of Rivers State has already started implementing it.
