The marriage breakdown of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has grown so bitter she has reportedly banned their children from seeing his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.
Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016 citing “irreconcilable differences” after being married since 2014 and together as a couple since 2005.
Together they have six children, three of whom are adopted, but it now emerges Jolie looks set to seek sole custody of the kids, while reports claim she has banned Aniston, who was married to Pitt prior to his relationship with Jolie, from seeing the children.
The news comes from alleged sources close to the former couple who shared the information with New Zealand magazine Woman’s Day.
According to the Woman’s Day article, obtained by Celebrity Insider: “Angelina has privately demanded that Jen be banned from seeing her kids.
“And to add insult to injury, she has filed for a new child custody evaluation against Brad.
“It’s come as a huge shock to everyone — including the kids.”
Pitt appears to have had something of a friendly reconciliation with former wife and Friends star since his split with Jolie.
The rumour mill was set spinning when the pair embraced and held hands at the Screen Actor Guild Awards earlier this year and Pitt made a joke about not getting on with his wife while accepting an award – the camera panned to Aniston laughing along with the joke.
Aniston and Pitt married after dating for two years in 2000 but separated and divorced in 2005.
In a now infamous episode, Pitt and Jolie fell in love while filming assassin caper Mr & Mrs Smith and apparently began dating after Aniston and Pitt split, with Pitt later claiming there was “no infidelity”.
As well as Jolie and Aniston, Pitt has also dated actresses Juliette Lewis and Gwyneth Paltrow.
