A man is demanding justice for his sister who died alongside others after they were hit by a drunk driver then rejected by a hospital because they do not have a “police report”.

Othniel, the brother of Jemima, one of the casualties, said his sister, who is a student at the University of Jos, was in a keke napep with a fellow student, on their way to church, when a drunk driver “left his lane, climbed the road barricade” and rammed into their tricycle, causing it to

sommersault multiple times.

The keke driver died on the spot. The girls – Jemima and Jennifer – were injured but still alive. They were rushed to a hospital but were rejected because they didn’t have police report. The girls eventually died before they could receive treatement in a different hospital.

The drunk driver allegedly confessed to his actions. It was his birthday on that day and he had been celebrating all night and got behind the wheel while drunk, leading to the death of at least three people.

Othniel is demanding justice for his sister and her friend who “died as a result of a failed medical system and idiotic medical law passed only by a failed country.”

He also added that the drunk driver is set to walk free “because of corruption within the police force.”
