In her time as First Lady, Melania Trump has made a few eyebrow-raising fashion choices.

Many of us still remember the puzzling ‘I REALLY DON’T CARE’ coat she wore to visit detained child migrants last year.

Now she’s gone and elicited fury and accusations of tastelessness and complete insensitivity – this time on the 18th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

As the world paused to remember the utter devastation of that day in 2001, so did Melania and her husband offer their own tribute on Twitter .

However, all eyes were on Melania’s custom-made Hervé Pierre coat – specifically the design on the back.

Is…is that a plane crashing into one of the twin towers in the back of Melania’s coat?!?

I’m sure I’m not the first one to spot this but who in the world thought it was a good idea for Melania to wear this coat in the 9/11 photo. It legit looks like an object is flying into a tower or the Washington Monument

Look at the stitching on her coat. The tower with a plane crashing into it??!! Or what?

Of course, it’s most likely the case that Melania simply wasn’t aware of how the stitching would look.

Still,  it’s unfortunate she didn’t check.

When questioned about the backlash relating to the First Lady’s coat, White House spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham, who was the former press secretary for Melania, had a blunt response.

“It’s ridiculous,”  Grisham told USA Today .
