The mother of Jaxon Liedl’s alleged killer insists her daughter did not mean to take the six-month-old boy’s life in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, US

A mother has defended her 11-year-old daughter accused of stomping a baby to death, arguing she did not mean to kill the tot.
Her daughter has been charged with first-degree murder as an adult over the killing on October 30 2018.
Prosecutors claim she dropped Jaxon Liedl and then stomped on his head when he cried out in pain, with the boy dying in hospital on November 1.

Speaking to Inside Edition, the girl’s mum said: “There is no way it was done in an intentional way.”
She told the camera crew that her daughter told her the incident was an accident.
The mother added: “And you know what? I believe my daughter.”
The child suspect is currently being held at the adult Winnebago Mental Health Institute.

“She’s the youngest person there. She’s 11 years old with women 40 years old and over. She wants to go home,” her mum said.
A friend of the family has set up a Go Fund Me page in a bid to raise $50,000 (£40,523) to pay the 11-year-old’s bond.
Relatives hope to secure her release so she can come back home – instead of staying four hours away at the mental health institute.
