Kidnapped DPO And Others Released From Kidnapers Den In Kabula Forest

Police Special Forces deployed by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris has rescued the kidnapped Divisional Police Officer in Charge of Sarki- Pawa in Niger State. The rescue of the DPO, his orderly and four others followed the storming of the notorious Kabula forest by IGP’s Special Intelligence and Response teams in conjunction with men of the Niger state Police Command.

Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Jimoh Moshood who confirmed the rescue noted that the DPO and others were rescued unhurt. The rescue is coming on the heels of the warning given by the IGP Idris to Commissioners of Police on Wednesday to stop incidences of abduction of senior Police officers and stop the embarrassment the abductions was bringing to the force. CSP Moshood said, “The rescue of Kidnapped DPO in Niger state occurred on Thursday 19 October 2017”.

He said, “At about 5. 50pm, the Divisional Police Officer, Sarki-Pawa Police station, Superintendent of Police Aliyu Amos, his orderly and 4 others kidnapped, were rescued unhurt by police special Forces around Kabula Forest Sarki Pawa, Niger state in compliance with IGP directive to all CP’s 2 days ago. “Some arrests have been made and investigation is in progress.”
