Westlife Set To Be Bigger Than Ever As Reunion Tour Becomes Fastest-Selling

Westlife are set to be more successful than ever as their reunion tour becomes their fastest-selling of all time.

The Twenty Tour, which kicks off in Belfast next month, sold a staggering 400,000 tickets in 48 hours – confirming the band’s status as national music treasures.

The huge demand for tickets has led to international tour dates being added to the band’s already packed summer schedule.

They’ll be touring Southeast Asia with eight massive shows in July and August.

It comes after the Irish foursome released their brand new album Spectrum for pre-order last week.

The new album includes recent hit singles Better Man and Hello My Love, which was written by Ed Sheeran.

Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne, Mark Feehily and Shane Filan, who have together knocked up 14 No.1 singles, say they are excited to be making new music and getting the tour underway.

“The album has everything that we love in music, heartfelt emotional songs and also great uptempos that are designed for our forthcoming stadium performances,” they said.

The boys are back together in the recording studio and preparing for life back on the road and they told Mirror Online they’re better than ever as they reunited without Brian McFadden.

They said: “We have always made music with our fans firmly in mind and that has really been the secret of our success and longevity – our position for this album was the same.

“Since we have been away, the business has evolved with the introduction of streaming and we have been delighted to see that our first single worked so well round the world in the streaming era.

“Our intention was to simply come back in the finest way possible, to make the best album of our careers and to also give our fans the best tour we have ever done. So far, we are on track, giving everyone the best version of ourselves – we like to call it ‘Westlife 2.0’.”
