Bebe Rexha has revealed the huge support she received after a certain designer declined making a dress for her to wear to the 2019 Grammy Awards because she doesn’t look trim.

Few days ago, the singer took to social media with the below post to call out the designer.

“Im sorry, I had to get this off my chest. If you don’t like my fashion style or my music that’s one thing. But don’t say you can’t dress someone that isn’t a runway size. Empower women to love their bodies instead of making girls and women feel less then by their size. We are beautiful any size! Small or large! Anddddd My size 8 ass is still going to the Grammys. #LOVEYOURBODY”.

On the red carpet of the 2019 Grammy Awards, Bebe Rexha spoke on the support she received from fans and designers after laying her mind bare.

“It’s been amazing. I didn’t expect it. I just did the video because I was really heartbroken and it bummed me.”

“They said I was too big or fat and I love my body and I just want other girls to love their bodies.”

The singer mentioned big name designers Jeremy Scott of Moschino, Christian Siriano and even Karl Lagerfeld as those who reached out to her.

“I was like, ‘This is amazing,’” she shared.

When asked if she would consider the designer if he changes his mind after turning her down, Bebe Rexha responded:

“I would say yes.”

“I mean, I’m okay. I don’t get angry at people. I just want to wear people and work with people who love me for me.”

“At the end of the day, I truly believe what is inside and the music you’re making and the art you’re making [is what counts],” Rexha said during the segment. “I want to have a Cinderella moment: I want it [the dress] to be so hard to walk in. I can’t believe that I am finally nominated for a Grammy, two Grammys! For me this is my Cinderella moment.”
