Manchester United have turned down a loan inquiry from Arsenal about defender Eric Bailly.
According to the Mail, the Gunners wanted to take the centre-back on loan for the rest of the season with the view of potentially signing him permanently in the summer.
United however swiftly shut down their rivals’ interest in Bailly, who is contracted at Old Trafford until June 2020.
The defender has started just one game under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to date with the club delaying a decision on whether to offer him a contract extension.
