The senator representing Anambra Central, Chief Victor Umeh, has threatened to expose former senators from the district who he claimed misappropriated constituency funds.
He said constituency funds allocated to legislators were not meant to be embezzled, stressing that such funds were for the general good of the people.
Umeh stated this at Neni, in the Anaocha Local Government Area of the state, where he awarded scholarship to about 70 indigent undergraduates.
He said, “Legislation is about people’s interests. It is not about going to the Senate to chew gum, and always looking for avenues to misappropriate funds meant for the people of your constituency.
“I am only 10 months in the Senate and I can beat my chest and say I have given my people quality representation.”
