The Police Service Commission has begun the recruitment of 10,000 Police Constables.
The commission advised applicants with a passion for a career in the Nigeria Police Force to apply through its portal, www.nigeriapolicecareers.net, adding that the application will close on January 11, 2019.
The PSC disclosed this in a statement by its spokesman, Ikechukwu Ani, in Abuja on Friday, that the exercise was absolutely free, warning candidates against paying to apply.
It said, “Application closes on Friday, the 11th of January, 2019, exactly six weeks from today, Friday, November 30th 2019. Applicants must have a passion for a career in the Nigeria Police Force and must be a Nigerian citizen, not less than 18 years of age or more than 25 years of age.
“Candidates must have ‘0’ level certificate or its equivalent with at least five credit level passes including Mathematics and English language in not more than two sittings.”
The Commission further stated that candidates must also be of good character and should not have been convicted of any criminal offence.
It threatened to deal with anyone “who tries to circumvent this process or engages in fraudulent activities.”
Specifically, it warned that any of its staff or Police Officers caught demanding or collecting money to assist candidates in the exercise “will not go unpunished.”
