Late Gen. Sani Abacha’s former Chief Security Officer, Major Hamza al-Mustapha has won the presidential primary of the Peoples Party of Nigeria, PPN.He polled 3,564,262 votes, to defeat Dr. Imuetinyan Igbinnosa and Chief Isiaka Olorunnimbe, who scored 2,183,856 and 1,400,755 votes.
Dare Adekolu, the Chairman of the Presidential Primary Elections Committee announced him as the winner on Sunday at the party’s Presidential Primaries/2018 National Convention, held in Ado Ekiti.
He begged Nigerians to vote for the former Chief Security Officer in the 2019 presidential election.
“PPN has come to redeem Nigeria. PPN has come to save Nigeria from poverty, lack, unemployment and underdevelopment, hence the need for support,” Adekolu said.
Al-Mustapha, who was absent, but was well represented at the occasion by Zakaria Husseini, promised to rescue the country from bad leaders and ensure the development and prosperity the nation.
