It is no news that fitness plays a very important role in health and wellness. Most fitfam people are usually in the gym sweating out calories and keeping fit, but as a woman, this is not the only way that you can get that toned body you want. It’s still Women’s month and that is why I will be sharing 4 other fitness exercises for women to get that body they want.
1. Yoga: This form of exercise involves a lot of stretching and in the long run, with consistency, your body tones and firms up very nicely. According to rhodeahead.com, yoga increases strength in your muscles, and hopkinsmedicine.org adds that it benefits heart health and help manage stress.
2. Pilates: This might be new to some people but simply put, according to mayoclinic.org, Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility, muscular strength and endurance movements. It is named after its creator, Joseph Pilates, who developed the exercises in the 1920s. A Pilates routine generally includes exercises that promote core strength and stability, muscle control, and endurance, including exercises that stress proper posture and movement patterns and balanced flexibility and strength. It can also be helpful in training for sports or in physical rehabilitation. 3. Dance: Is another form of physical exercise that is good for your heart, it makes you stronger, and it can help with balance and coordination and according to this article by Judith Holmes on webmd.com, a 30-minute dance class burns between 130 and 250 calories, about the same as jogging. Dance also targets your core, arms, legs, glutes and back and helps with body flexibility. According to an article on carolinadance.com, dance provides aerobic and anaerobic exercise, improves flexibility, strengthens uppers and lower body, kills calories, builds stronger bones and heart and improves blood circulation.

4. Aerobics: These are a sure way to get your body into submission without the added stress of weight-lifting and heavy workouts. According to an article on my.cleveland.org, aerobic exercises provide cardiovascular conditioning. The term aerobic actually means “with oxygen,” which means that breathing controls the amount of oxygen that can make it to the muscles to help them burn fuel and move. Some benefits are weight management and/or weight loss, improvement of lung function, decreased risk of heart disease, lower blood pressure etc.
So if you’re a woman who can’t kill herself, adopt any one of these methods and see your body become trim and fit sooner than later.
